CEU Course Description
ACL injury is prevalent among young athletes. Surgery is usually recommended to repair a tear, which will result in a long, difficult recovery. Surgical considerations must be made to avoid damage to the growth plates to avoid deformity. Physical Therapy is necessary to help the patient regain strength, stability, speed, agility, and to successfully return to a prior level of activity including sports. This course will discuss the types of ACL injury, the infrastructure of the ligaments around the knee, and the rehabilitation required to return the patient to full function.
