CEU Course Description

In-hospital progressive resistance training (PRT) has been shown to be an effective method of rehabilitation following hip surgery.  The goal of this CEU course is to assess whether a home-based PRT program would be beneficial in improving patients’ muscle strength and physical function compared to standard rehabilitation.

CEU Course Objectives

1.  Determine the compliance rates of the participants of the home-based PRT intervention.

2.  Identify which measure of physical function, relative to home-based PRT patients, the control group showed greater improvement.

3.  Name three measures that a home-based PRT program is just as efficacious as standard rehabilitation for improving.
